Day 1 golf project

Day 1 visit to the golf course was eventful and provided some areas to improve
Day 1
Drove 12 minutes to Elmwood to pay subscription and hit some golf balls.
It was very windy, about 25 mph from the west, and the temperature was about 10 Deg centigrade.
The plan of action was first to investigate and try out the short game area and secondly to use the driving range.
The ground was typical for this time of year- soft and wet. The layout of the short game practice area was good with plenty of bunkers, good greens and potential shot lengths of over 100 yards. I spent about 30 minutes chipping and trying to achieve some feel for different lengths of chip.
I moved on to the driving range ( £3.00 for 50 balls) but the shots were woeful. Part of the problem was the left to right strong wind which I had no control over. Part was my multiple layers of clothing needed to ensure my old bones stayed warm and the consequent effect on my swing.

The main takeaways from the days outing were:
I need to work on core strength
I need to ensure that my posture is good ( too many desk bound years)
I need to work on swing timing

This is the start of the golfing rehabilitation.
